Mi Beard Trimmer 2: best all-round pick
Why consider it: at its India launch in September 2021, Xiaomi gave it 40 length settings from 0.5 mm to 20 mm in 0.5 mm steps (two combs), self-sharpening stainless steel blades, an IPX7 waterproof body, USB Type-C charging, an LED battery display and a travel lock. It is rated for 90 minutes on a 2-hour charge, and a 5-minute charge gives about 12 minutes of use. It also works while plugged in, which saves you when the battery runs out mid-trim.
Drawback: it is a beard and moustache tool. There is no nose trimmer, body head or head-hair clipper comb in the box.
Skip it if: you want one box for every grooming job (see the Grooming Kit below) or you only ever keep 1–2 mm stubble.
Its price has moved a lot. Our own checks since 19 October 2026 ranged from ₹1,019 to ₹1,999, so it is worth watching rather than paying the top of that range.
Mi Grooming Kit: best all-in-one under ₹2,000
Why consider it: Xiaomi's India specification page lists a precision blade, a nose and ear hair head, a body grooming head, two beard combs (0.5–10 mm and 10.5–20 mm, 40 settings), a travel pouch and a cleaning brush. It shares the core numbers of the Beard Trimmer 2: up to 90 minutes, 2-hour Type-C charging, self-sharpening stainless steel blades, plus a one-year warranty.
Drawback: Xiaomi lists it as "washable", with no IPX waterproof rating, so rinse the heads rather than using it in the shower. It is also the most expensive pick here. Our checks since 19 October have seen it between ₹1,498 and ₹2,535, so on some days it is outside this budget.
Skip it if: you only trim your beard. The extra heads add cost you won't use.
Mi UniBlade: best for stubble and clean edges
Why consider it: the UniBlade is Xiaomi's single-blade design for trimming, edging and close shaving. Xiaomi lists 14 length settings from 0.4 mm to 8 mm on one adjustable comb, an IPX7 rating, up to 60 minutes of use, about 1.5 hours to charge over Type-C and a one-year warranty. Launch coverage put its launch price at ₹1,499.
Drawback: 8 mm is the longest setting, so a fuller beard needs a different trimmer. Single-blade heads are a consumable, so check that a replacement head is easy to find before you rely on it.
Skip it if: you grow a beard longer than about a centimetre, or you want the longest battery life.
Philips BT3201/15: best simple Philips option
Why consider it: a basic, widely sold Philips beard trimmer. The Flipkart listing on our deal page shows stainless steel blades, a 0.5–10 mm trimming range, 11 length adjustments, a washable head and cordless use. Its price has been the steadiest of these picks in our checks, between about ₹1,208 and ₹1,213 since 18 October.
Drawback: the listing shows 30 minutes of battery and a 10-hour charge, far behind the 90 minutes of the Xiaomi and VEGA picks. Seller listings sometimes differ from the brand's own sheet, so check the box details if charge time matters to you.
Skip it if: you forget to charge things, or you want longer beard lengths than 10 mm.
VEGA Turbolite: best budget pick
Why consider it: VEGA's product page (model VHTH-41) lists self-sharpening stainless steel blades, 40 length settings from 0.5 mm to 20 mm with two combs, 90 minutes of use after a 90-minute Type-C charge, and corded or cordless use. At ₹549 when we checked, it costs about half as much as our top pick.
Drawback: VEGA mentions washable blades, and the Flipkart listing shows only an IPX-1 rating. Treat it as a dry trimmer whose blade you rinse, not one to use wet. Our checks since 17 October have seen it between ₹499 and ₹719.
Skip it if: you want a fully waterproof body or a battery display.
How to choose a trimmer under ₹2,000
- Beard length decides the comb. For a full beard, look for combs that go to 20 mm (Beard Trimmer 2, Grooming Kit, Turbolite). For stubble, 0.4–8 mm (UniBlade) is plenty.
- Waterproof and washable are different. IPX7 means the whole body can go under water. "Washable head" only means you can rinse the blade. If you like trimming in the shower, choose IPX7.
- Battery and charging. 60–90 minutes covers several weeks of normal beard trimming. Type-C charging means you can share your phone charger. A corded option is a useful backup.
- Extra heads only if you will use them. Nose, ear and body heads are why grooming kits cost more.
- Warranty and service. Xiaomi lists one year on the Grooming Kit and UniBlade. Check the warranty card for the others.
How to check the price before you buy
Each deal page above shows the latest Flipkart price we checked and the lowest and highest prices in our own checks. Those are our checks, not Flipkart's full history. Compare the MRP discount with what we have actually seen. Trimmers often show "50–70% off" against an MRP they rarely sell at. Frequently asked questions
Which is the best trimmer for men under ₹2,000?
For most people, the Mi Beard Trimmer 2. It has 40 length settings up to 20 mm, a 90-minute battery and an IPX7 waterproof body. Pick the Mi Grooming Kit if you also want nose, ear and body heads.
Is a waterproof trimmer worth it?
Yes, if you want to rinse the whole trimmer or use it in the shower. An IPX7 body (Beard Trimmer 2, UniBlade) handles that. A trimmer with only a washable head should be kept dry apart from the blade.
Can I use these trimmers while charging?
The Mi Beard Trimmer 2 and VEGA Turbolite are listed for corded and cordless use. The Philips BT3201/15, Mi Grooming Kit and Mi UniBlade are listed as cordless, so charge them before you start.
Why do trimmer discounts look so large?
Many trimmers sell well below their printed MRP most of the time. A 60–70% "discount" can be the normal price. Compare today's price with the range on our deal page instead of the MRP.
