These are our best picks of monitors for work from home in India. For most people working on a laptop all day, the BenQ GW2490P is the easiest recommendation: a 24-inch Full HD IPS screen with flicker-free and low blue light modes, built-in speakers and a DisplayPort, for about the price of a basic office monitor. Choose the LG 27U631A if you live in spreadsheets and want sharper text, the LG 29U531A UltraWide if you keep two windows side by side, the LG UltraFine 27U710B if you want 4K and a height-adjustable stand, and the Samsung Essential S3 if the budget is tight.

All five are IPS monitors from brands with Indian service networks, and all were in stock on Flipkart when we checked on 6 November 2026. This shortlist is built from the manufacturers' own spec pages and the Flipkart listings for the exact Indian models. We have not tested these monitors ourselves.

BenQ GW2490P — best for most home offices

The BenQ GW2490P is a 23.8-inch Full HD IPS monitor with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 99% sRGB colour, according to BenQ India's product page. BenQ lists flicker-free backlighting, a TÜV-certified low blue light mode and Visual Optimizer, which adjusts the picture to the light in your room. The Flipkart listing adds two built-in speakers, one HDMI 1.4 port, a DisplayPort, an anti-glare coating and VESA 100×100 wall mounting.

Why consider it: eye-care features matter more than gaming specs when you stare at a screen for eight hours, and this is the cheapest monitor here that lists all of them. Two inputs mean a work laptop and a home PC can share it. At ₹8,098 when we checked, it costs less than ₹2,000 more than the Samsung below for a bigger screen and speakers.

Drawback: the stand only tilts (–5° to 20° per the listing), so you may need a monitor riser or a few books to get the top of the screen to eye level. Full HD on 24 inches is fine for email and video calls but looks less crisp with small spreadsheet text.

Skip it if: you want one cable to connect and charge your laptop. It has no USB-C.

LG 27U631A — best for spreadsheets and documents

The LG 27U631A moves up to a 27-inch QHD (2560×1440) IPS panel at 100 Hz. LG's spec page lists 99% sRGB (typical), HDR10, Flicker Safe, Reader Mode and a USB-C port with 15 W power delivery, which the Indian Flipkart listing (model 27U631A-BD) also mentions.

Why consider it: QHD gives you about 78% more pixels than Full HD. In practice that means more rows of a spreadsheet, two documents side by side without squinting, and noticeably sharper text. This is the biggest jump in everyday comfort for desk workers in this list.

Drawback: 15 W over USB-C is enough to keep a phone topped up, not to power most laptops, so you will still need your laptop charger. LG does not list speakers or a DisplayPort, the stand is tilt-only, and the USB-C cable is not in the box according to LG.

Skip it if: your desk is shallow. A 27-inch screen works best at an arm's length or more. A 24-inch version, the LG 24U631A, has the same resolution and USB-C on its Flipkart listing and was ₹10,999 when we checked.

LG 29U531A UltraWide — best for side-by-side multitasking

The LG 29U531A is a 29-inch 21:9 IPS monitor at 2560×1080 and 100 Hz. LG's spec page lists HDMI, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C for display and data, two 5 W speakers, 99% sRGB (typical), Flicker Safe and Reader Mode. The Indian Flipkart listing (29U531A-W) also lists USB-C, two speakers and a white finish.

Why consider it: the extra width lets you keep a video call next to your notes, or a browser next to a document, without a second monitor and the gap between two screens.

Drawback: an ultrawide is wide, not tall. Its 1,080 rows of pixels are the same as a Full HD screen, so you will not see more of a long document at once, and text is no sharper than on a normal 1080p monitor of the same height. LG does not state laptop charging over this USB-C port. The stand is tilt-only.

Skip it if: most of your day is in one tall document or spreadsheet. The LG 27U631A suits that better for less money.

LG UltraFine 27U710B — best for sharp text and posture

The LG UltraFine 27U710B is a 27-inch 4K (3840×2160) IPS monitor. LG's spec page lists 60 Hz, 300 nits typical brightness, 90% DCI-P3 colour, HDR10, one HDMI port, one DisplayPort 1.4, Flicker Safe, Reader Mode and a stand with tilt and height adjustment. The Flipkart listing also marks height adjustment as "Yes", which makes this the only monitor in this list that adjusts height.

Why consider it: 4K on 27 inches gives very crisp text when you use display scaling, which is especially noticeable on MacBooks, as macOS looks best on high-density screens. A height-adjustable stand helps you set the top of the screen at eye level without a riser, which is good for your neck on long days. Wider colour coverage also helps if photo or design work is part of your job.

Drawback: it runs at 60 Hz, so scrolling feels less smooth than on the 100–120 Hz picks. Neither LG nor Flipkart lists speakers or USB-C for this model. It was ₹17,999 when we checked, more than double the BenQ.

Skip it if: your laptop's video output only handles 1080p or 1440p. Check your laptop's specs first, or you will pay for pixels you cannot use.

Samsung Essential S3 — best on a tight budget

The Samsung Essential S3 (LS22F320GAWXXL) is a 22-inch Full HD IPS monitor with two HDMI 1.4 ports, 250 nits brightness and a 100×100 wall mount, according to Smartprix's spec listing. The Flipkart listing adds Samsung's Eye Saver Mode and a tilt stand. Flipkart lists a 120 Hz refresh rate, while at least one retailer lists 100 Hz, so check the listing if that matters to you.

Why consider it: at ₹6,499 when we checked, it is the cheapest way here to get a proper IPS second screen from a major brand. Two HDMI ports let you switch between a work laptop and a personal one.

Drawback: 22 inches is small next to a 15.6-inch laptop, there are no speakers, and there is no DisplayPort or USB-C.

Skip it if: you can stretch by about ₹1,600. The BenQ GW2490P adds a bigger screen, speakers, a DisplayPort and stated eye-care certification.

How to choose a monitor for work from home

  • Screen size and distance: 22–24 inches suits a desk about 60 cm deep. 27 inches needs a little more distance, about an arm's length.
  • Resolution matters more than refresh rate for office work. QHD on 27 inches is the sweet spot for text. 120 Hz makes scrolling smoother but does not make text sharper.
  • Check your laptop's ports first. Many office laptops have HDMI only. USB-C on a monitor helps only if your laptop's USB-C port supports video output, and charging needs enough wattage. 15 W does not charge a laptop.
  • Eye comfort: look for flicker-free (LG calls it Flicker Safe) and a low blue light or reader mode, and use an anti-glare screen if your desk faces a window.
  • Posture: the top of the screen should sit at or just below eye level. With a tilt-only stand, budget for a riser.
  • Speakers: built-in monitor speakers are fine for calls, but a headset is still better for meetings.

Check the price before you buy

Monitor prices on Flipkart move between sales and normal weeks. Before you pay, open the monitor's deal page or our price tracker to see the prices we have checked for that exact listing, and compare the MRP discount against what it actually sold for.
